⁵ (But if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s community?) ⁶ He must not be a new believer,^[a] or he may become puffed up and fall into the same judgment as the devil. ⁷ Furthermore, he must have a good reputation with those outside, so that he will not fall into disgrace and the devil’s trap.
